Brief 4B GEORGE TOWN SPACES


In groups of five, visit the World Heritage Site of George Town.
1. Choose any three buildings that are to you thematic (having a common theme) and photographically record

A. Façade

B. Back &

C. Side elevations.

2. Describe the chosen buildings in terms of:
A. Size (in meters) including approximate area in sq m.
B. Building Function.
C. Age
3. Describe the surrounding environment parameters and geographical location.
4. Comment on visible renovation/modification on said buildings
5. Identify significant ornament/embellishment/icons by photographically zooming on them.
6. Pick one element from the cluster of ornaments; free hand sketch it as an icon.
Submission & Presentation: Monday, 24 August 09:00AM - 16:00PM
1. A power point presentation entitled "Spaces of Historic George Town." (on CD)
2. A1 illustration board (handwritten in ink with upper case, mounted photo prints.
*from this task i can visit a lot of heritage places at georgetown, such as wisma kastam, town hall, city hall, fort cornwallis and clock tower.
*we can know the ages of the buildings, about the history of the place and so on.

A Nook to inspire
Identify a personal space that you would be fond of – a space for you to relax, put your feet up or have a break.
Choose an outdoor spot around HBP premises that you feel positive about.
Take a sarong OR tikar (single size mat) as an area-defining element for you :
- to sit on
- to lie on &
- to Lay personal Belongings
Study the site carefully and create photo documentation showing how the idea works.

*use my sarong as a 'alas' for me to sit on the sarong.

vision and rules

today is 31 july 2009

Dr Nora give some lecture about vision and rules. The lesson that i get from her lecture is, what ever we want to do we must know our vision. It is can be our guide to help me get what i want. We also must do something with the rules, we as a actor can't do something contras with the rules.
I hope with my vision that i want study hard and be a good planner :)

it teach me how to draw and look the drawing with many perception.
i need to draw the cubes and cuboids with my own perception.
it make me to think creative and look something with many way, not only just look it as a cubes or cuboids only.

BIG BANG!!!!






09th-12th July 2009

The orientation program for first year student in school Housing,Building and Planning(HBP).The program call "Big Bang!", this program has already plan by our senior in HBP.For this program, all the first year students must pay the fee around RM36.00. It is include for our foods,souvenir,t-shirt and so on. Besides that,we must join the sports games for our orientation. The games like futsal,netball and football. The climax for this program is a special dinner. All students must come to the dinner.

Today, this my first class for my first year in this semester. I'm so happy to attend that class,in this class we must study about the subject RUS101-Integrated studio 1.The lecturer name Sir Wan Burhanuddin,we call him Cik Wan.He shows us about "Reading & Documenting".
